Welcome to Unit 3 of Generative Artificial Intelligence, where we explore one of the most exciting capabilities of modern AI — generating new text and images using Generative AI models.

This unit introduces students to the fundamental concepts and techniques used to create human-like text and realistic images using different Generative AI approaches. The topics are explained in a simple, structured, and practical manner, making them suitable for beginners who want to understand how AI systems can generate new content.

You will begin by learning the fundamentals of Text Generation and explore how deep learning models can be trained to generate meaningful sequences of text. The unit covers LSTM-based Text Generation, providing an understanding of how recurrent neural networks can learn patterns and generate text based on previously learned information.

You will then explore Transformer-based Text Generation, an important modern approach behind many powerful Generative AI and Large Language Model applications. Students will gain an understanding of how Transformer-based models can generate context-aware and coherent text.

The second part of this unit focuses on Image Generation. You will learn the basic concepts of generating images using Artificial Intelligence and explore Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), including their implementation, training, and fine-tuning.
